The Geneva Area
June Annual Swedish Days Festival...Craft Show, Fine Arts Show, Rosemailing Show and Music Competition, Carnival, Kid's Day, Cental Stage entertainment, and parade are scheduled. There are plenty of food stands throughout the downtown area including an authentic Swedish buffet.
September Festival of the Vine... Autumn harvest is celebrated with food, music, and wine, with wine tasting and wine seminars, Fair of the Green-Arts & Crafts and Classic Car Show.
December Geneva Christmas Walk...The great tree is lit on the Courthouse lawn while choirs sing. Tour homes creatively decorated for the holidays. On Friday night Saint Lucia arrives and then Santa arrives to open his house for the season. Shop owners have an old fashioned open house serving refreshments, and chestnuts are roasted over open fires on Third and State Streets.

March Easter Egg Hunt...For ages 2-8 is held at the Engstrom Family Park on West Main Street.
May VFW Loyalty Day Parade...An old fashioned parade and town picnic is celebrated the first Sunday in May. |

June Heritage Arts Festival...This event held on Clark Island each June during the MidAmerican Canoe Race. The festival features local artists and wonderful food.
July 4th of July Fireworks Celebration...Known as one of the best fireworks displays in the area, join us as we celebrate with music, food and fun!
Windmill City Fest...The highlight of the summer in Batavia - special sales, street vendors, entertainment and concerts.
October Civil War Reenactment...Clark Island is the site as Union and Confederate forces join us to present a living picture of the Civil War.
Ghost Hike...The Batavia Park District with the Geneva Park District present this popular fall event at the Fabyan Forest Preserve one Route 25.
November Celebration of lights... Lighting of the Community Tree, caroling and other great entertainment. Be there when Santa arrives and stroll the Riverwalk to view the gian greeting cards and lights.
December Holiday Breakfast with Santa... This fun-filled event sponsored by the Batavia Lions Club is held at the Eastside Community Center. |

June Fox River Festival... Kickoff summer along the Fox River with dragon boat races, sand sculpture and face painting. Continuous free entertainment for adults and children. Huge craft show, antiques, cars, carnival, food, refreshments and more!·
St. Charles Art & Music Festival... The festival features international stars in opera, jazz and classical performances as well as piano competition.
Mid American Canoe Race... Find a spot along the Fox River and cheer for the canoeists paddling for trophies.
August Living History Re-Creators... The Civil War and Revolutionary War reenactments are held every third weekend in August.
October Scarecrow Festival... The festival is held the second weekend in October. The entire event is generated through sponsorship, vendor fees and sales of festival items.
